Hiring: Content Production Manager

ThinkImpact is proud to launch Unleesh, a mobile app that delivers, captures, and connects experiential learning. Unleesh allows companies, universities, and organizations to engage employees, customers, students or the wider community with learning content, which is organized into a Path.

 

A Path is a lesson on the platform. It has an overall learning objective – Discover Cultural Competency Through Study Abroad in Costa Rica, or Train New Employees on Company Culture. Within a timeline for completion, users reach the objective by consuming small bits of information and taking what they learn into the world, interpreting it for themselves and having experiences that reflect the overarching objective. By using their smartphone to capture these experiences, users can share the learning process with each other while Unleesh saves and curates these artifacts for use as a final product: a portfolio of the user’s learning experience.

 

ThinkImpact seeks a Content Production Manager (CPM) to oversee internal processes related to Path creation, including building and supporting freelance Path creation consultants, developing production cycles and conducting Path reviews for quality control. Clients provide content for trainings and lessons that they would to adapt into a Path. The CPM organizes that content and assigns and manages the execution of the Path creation and adaptation by a vetted and trained third party. The timely production of a complete Path is the CPM’s primarily responsibility.

 

In addition to managing Path creation and adaptation, the CPM is responsible for providing support for development of corporate collateral including brochures, product overviews and descriptions. The CPM is not required to generate marketing campaigns, only to execute on production of materials through a network of designers, writers and other members of the team.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Develop a system for evaluating customer needs and expectations in order to draft a production process for the creation of learning Paths

  • Create and implement system for evaluation scope of work on content production and to provide cost estimates for clients

  • Recruit, train and coordinate subject area specialists (consultants) who will make up our “Content Developers Network” to create custom learning content for clients

  • Manage Content Developers Network ensuring quality content is created on time and on budget

  • Manage all steps in the Path creation process, from initial concept to completion and follow up

  • Oversee production of ThinkImpact curriculum to ensure digital and hardcopy materials are produced or printed on time

  • Develop and manage a system for incorporating Path/curriculum feedback, updates, and revisions of curriculum

  • Streamline the production process to make it more efficient and cost-effective

  • Manage the production of ThinkImpact and Unleesh Collateral (i.e. sales and marketing materials)

 

This person will work closely with the CEO to both develop new systems and improve existing systems.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Experience managing an editorial cycle with tight timelines

  • Experience managing teams of 3 or more people

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator

  • Fluent use of Apple products

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience, 3 years management experience

  • Strong English writing and editing skills

  • Highly organized, able to oversee multiple projects, tasks, and teams

  • Background in Learning Management Systems, Learning Content Management Systems, curriculum development, journalism, mobile technology and experiential education a plus

  • Bachelors required, Masters recommended
